Linked Viewsguide > Concepts > Linked Views
In order to detect trends and gain understanding and knowledge within the data, it is convenient to view it through a number of different visual representation methods, each of which is best suited to highlight different patterns and features. OECD eXplorer's user interface layout is divided into three coordinated and linked views: Choropleth Map, Scatter Plot and Dynamic Histogram. These view are "linked", meaning that every action preformed in one view is propagated in all the other views. These actions involve selecting (snapshot two), changing color coding (snapshot three) and filtering (see Filtering chapter).
