The ranking component works as follows: Given 3 selected indicators: X, Y and Z the resulting "score" is determined by the weight of the indicator (the slider) times the value (either the absolute or normalized value) added together. So given a weight for each indicator of a,b,c we get the formula: X*a + Y*b + Z*c = score. The score is then divided by the maximum attainable value, which gives each record a score between 0 and 100.
The aggregation component allows you to create one or more new indicators, based on a custom formula which can include any number of source indicators. Simply click on an indicator to add it to the formula, click on operators to add them and click on function to apply them. Press "Generate" to add the new indicators to the existing data set. Uncheck "Append" to remove all other indicators and create a new data set from the aggregated indicators.
